Science Links Japan is a website designed to introduce a comprehensive collection of Japan’s scientific and technical information. Some 550 resource-rich URLs have been collected mainly from government, public research institutes and academia and categorized into links of major database producers, English language databases by subject, research institutes, patents, statistics, governmental white papers, and portal sites.

The website aims to provide ease of access to Japan’s STI for non-Japanese researchers, policy makers and many others who need Japan’s STI. It guides the user to original resources by clicking URLs helping him/her locate specific resources which up till now had been scattered or isolated across the Internet.

Science Links Japan has been compiled with a sharp focus on URL resources available in English. URL resources available only in Japanese also have been selected from the viewpoint of comprehensiveness and importance. A short English description has been added to these Japanese URLs for the users’ benefit.

ANSTIP “Asian Network for Science and Technology Policy” is an open-access infrastructure that aims to compile and organize internationally comparable S&T information. Operated primarily by the Japan’s National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, it contains comprehensive and comparative S&T statistics, activities, and policies of Asian countries and regions.
